Ms. Jansen and Ms. Tucker discussed the beginning of our project. The first part of our project was
constructing our timeline. The timeline showed what things we had to complete on each day, this
helped set our priorities and organize our thoughts. Brenna and I are doing our project on Lactobacilus Acidophillu

Today in class Brenna and I discussed our finished timeline and figured out what exactly each of us needs
to do for tonight's work. I have gone to NetTrecker to look up the habitat in which Lactobacillus Acidophilus
occurs in. Tonight I have spent lots of time on making our homepage look more scientific... and I think I am
the first one in the class to discover how to put pictures and videos that you want onto your wiki!!! I also
added "fun facts" onto our homepage.

In science class, Ms. Jansen taught us how to evaluate a website, so that when we are researching we can
determine whether the website has given us bais or unbias information. There were two parts to the
evaluation. 1) The Content and 2) The Authority. Personally, I thought the examples given to us on the
Authority part was quite interesting. I believe this is an important part of researching. I still need to catch up
on my researching part of the project. Brenna has invited me over to her house this Friday so that we can
work together and discuss our project. All of my researching for my paragraphs need to be finished also.
My main concern right now is to do my research! This part is not very fun.

Today during science class we worked on our projects/ research b/c the equipment didn't come for our labs.
So instead, Brenna and I went to the Library because we were tired of using the computer and the internet.
We found about 2 books that consisted of important information. We copied the pages out of the books and
took them with us. Tomorrow (friday), Brenna and I are going to go over to her house to work on the project.
I know I will accomplish a lot while being there and discussing the project, in person, with her. I look forward
to tomorrow!

In science we did a science lab where we used 2 bacteria known as E. Coli and S. Eperdemidis and we will see
on monday how the bacteria will react to the different antibiotics. We also used the cleaning method that Ms.
Tucker has been talking about where you clean your lab area with rubbing alcohol once you are finished. I have
completed part of my research, but I still have more to do.

Today Brenna and I made a movie for our project. It showed that L. acidophilus produces lactase, which helps to
separtate lactose, into galactose and glucose. The movie was quite fun! I enjoyed working with Brenna and I
felt that I got a lot of work accomplished. I still need to do a little more research so I can begin and finish my
paragraphs! I felt that by making the movie for our project, helped us go "above and beyond." I think it is easier
to work with your partner because that way you can brainstorm ideas and also build off of each other's ideas.
I seemed to find a lot more research today than any other day. I also learned that instead of just putting your notes
onto the note's link on the internet, it is better to first write info. that you find in Microsoft Word. This way, you can
have a back up if you lose your work. I am looking forward to see what our final product will look like!

Today I did not have any time to work on my science project. I have lots of other homework. I have has done as much
research as possible. I wish we had more time to work on our projects during class. Tomorrow I will work on finding
more research. Although I did not do my work for today, I feel as if we are progressing quite well. I am looking forward
to having more time to work tomorrow (hopefully).

Today I was not assigned too much homework, which means that I have more time to work on our wiki than I did
yesterday. I have found a lot of research on L. acidophilus. I am to find information on the five things that I have been
assigned to (according to our timeline). The five things are: structure, habitat, history, beneficial properties, problems
with the loss of our bacteria, and dietary sources (which I have decided to add). I am pretty sure that I will complete
these five things by the end of this week! I can't wait for it to be finished.

Today, during science, I spent my time organizing my science notes. The reason why I did this, was so that I could be
prepared to start finishing up my paragraphs and my portion of the project. I took some of the notes that Brenna and
I printed out so that I could pull information from those databases. I feel that we are moving along quite well and that
we will have a good, completed biology project. I hope tomorrow that I will complete a lot of my work.

Today I went through and read all of the printed articles that had to do with L. acidophilus. On each page that I read, I
usually found important information, so I highlighted the important info. and added it to my notes. This proccess worked
out well for me. Now I am done with my research. The only thing that I have to do is take my notes that are in bullets
and write a paragraph that sums up all of the information. That way, it can easily be written into my own words. I also
need to organize my notes and the sidebar to where it is easily accessible for the person who is browsing our website.
This friday, Brenna and I are planning on meeting each other again to finish up any last minute touches and to make sure our
project is perfect!

Today I was sick and I stayed home from school. I would have liked to have got more of my portion of the project completed, but
instead I slept most of the day. I am looking forward to tomorrow because I have all of my research completed and I am ready to
put my notes into a complete paragraph. Ok, well we are almost finished!

Tonight I have taken one step closer to being finished! I took all of my notes and put them into lengthy paragraphs. I am glad that
I have completed my paragraphs. That was my goal for this week, to complete all of my research and my paragraphs! Tomorrow
Brenna and I are getting together. I feel that this is a good decision because that way, we can discuss any of our last minute ideas
and we can complete our project together. Ok, well I can't wait for tomorrow!

Right now, Brenna is at my house. We have gotten together to complete our project! First, we completed our bibliography. Second, we
wrote the author's name next to each of the pictures that we posted on our wiki. Third, we completed our personal and audience
evaluations. Then, I opened up our wiki page on my computer and Brenna opened up the grading rubric page on her computer. Together
we went through our wiki with the grading rubric and we made sure that we earned a 4 (according to the grading rubric a 4 is the
highest possible grade that you can receive). We have gone through every possible way to check and make sure that we will receive
a great grade on our project. I feel that Brenna and I went beyond "above and beyond." I feel very good now that we have finally
completed our science project! Brenna and I both agree that we should recieve an A +++! HOORAY!
